Head Down is writing new songs. The wait will be worth it - I can guarantee this much. We already have the hit single done and you can expect a few more in the coming months. Just to keep things current, we will probably be demo-ing a new track before the EP is recorded and post that online to give you all a taste of the new shit. As for shows, we will be posting a few in the next little while. Stay punk, stay head down, don’t pull a bitch…
Sincerely,

It seems that a hometown show over the holidays is becoming a yearly thing for Head Down. This is the third year in a row that we hit up our local audience and add a little punk rock to the season. Come check it out on December 29th at the GV Hotel.

The new update has taken over a month now, and although it is our own fault that none of us thought of bringing a camera on tour, it took most of you a long time to send in your photos. Thanks, and next time we will surely bring a camera.
Anyway, I put up a video from a house show in Timmins on our myspace. Check that out and I will have some new pictures and more interesting news posted shortly. I promise. Thanks for your patience and I realize I will probably never be able to post a news update without ever mentioning myspace.com again.
What did we ever do before we got electricity? I don't know but i'm sure it's comparable to what it would be like without myspace. damn. i'm pissed. seriously, lets think of something else...
Cheers,
Dale

Yo. The tour is now over and we couldn't really be happier with the way things went. We ended up hooking up 12 shows while we were on the road and we will definately be back to everyone of the cities we played in. Unfortunately we couldn't update the site while we were gone so the last minute additions were only posted on our "M SPACE". -- word.
Thanks to all the promoters and rad bands we met while on the road. Cheers to everyone that came out to the shows and to those who gave us a place to stay. We will be doing this again. --Check this, new photos and video from the trip are coming in and will be posted shortly.

Tour starts today. Hope to see a bunch of familiar faces at all the shows. If you need any additional info while we are gone we will be posting everything on our myspace page. We will also be needing a place to stay in some cities so if you can help us out that would great. Anyway, thanks to everyone who helped make this happen. Cheers. PAYCE

Thanks for checking out the new shit. For those of you who are unfamiliar with us we’re a punk band based out of Timmins, Ontario that has been very involved in the scene since 1999.
Once again, we have a website and although it’s fairly basic, it’s resourceful. I am happy to announce that Head Down is not done and ready to be in full swing once again. Thanks so much to everyone that’s been around me and the other members of the band during the last few months. Your continued support is taken in high regard. If you were at the house show last Friday you will know what kind of people I am talking about. There couldn’t have been a better way to get things off to a fresh start. Here’s news:
Last February proved to be a very rough go for Head Down. The cohesion that once bound us for 5 years had slowly dropped to a point that was no longer strong enough to keep us working together. After two months of uncertainty and many emotions that are now not worth mentioning, we have regrouped. Scott and Derek have both left the band.
Although to some it may seem like something I should have just put rest, I wanted nothing more than to continue playing in this band. With everybody being as supportive as they have always been I found the drive to continue on. After all, Head Down, to me was always something in my mind that carried the idea of persistence, passion, and a motivation to make things right. "Giving up" was one thing that certainly never went to the melody of any of our songs. For me, those songs still have the same meaning now as they did when I wrote them.
The logical reformation was evident. With many close friends that were already playing a huge part in this band it wasn’t difficult to find people that wanted to help it continue on. Two guys in particular pushed to make this happen. Welcome John and Krys to the band. We’ve all worked to rebuild this together so far and we’re all looking forward to what’s ahead. I’m starting to remember how fun it was to be in a band when I was in high school and I am grateful to have found that again.
Thanks to everyone who has had so much patience with this band. The next few shows (just like the last) will be worth the wait. Check back fairly often to see how things progress. For now we’ve posted some new photos from the house show on our myspace page. Expect a video shortly… Cheers and spread the word.
